Jazmine Angeles (Baca) is a photo-based artist living in Miami, FL. Her interest in photography began when she was 14 years old and was asked to photograph a school play in middle school. This experience laid the foundation of her photography style. Currently, Angeles is experimenting with analog photography alongside alternative processes such as 35mm film, 4x5 film, cyanotypes, and photo transfers.
Jazmine Angeles received her BFA with a concentration in Art and Technology with an Art History minor from the University of Florida. During her time at UF, she has interned at the Harn Museum and the Cade Museum of Creativity and Invention, and has worked as a product designer for a National Science Foundation funded research project. Her work has been published in Rowdy Magazine and Gelée Magazine, and has been exhibited in group shows during her time in Gainesville.
